Champions Trophy: India enters semi-finals

At the Oval in London, India have entered the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy cricket tournament. They defeated South Africa by 8 wickets in the league match in Group B. Chasing 192 runs for a win, India accomplished the target in in 38 overs making 193 for two. Virat Kohli remained not out at 76 while Yuvraj made unbeaten 23. Shikhar Dhawan contributed 78 runs.Earlier, a disciplined bowling performance complemented by fantastic fielding effort, helped India skittle out South Africa for a paltry 191. Sent in to bat, the Proteas suffered an embarrassing batting collapse after openers Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock put on 76 runs. The World's No 1 team lost their last eight wickets for 51 runs after being comfortably placed at 116 for one at one stage to be bundled out in 44.3 overs. Quinton de Kock emerged as the highest scorer at 53. The second semi-finalist from the group will be known after the completion of encounter between Sri Lanka and Pakistan at Cardiff tomorrow. England and Bangladesh have already reached the last four stage from Group A.
