Champions Trophy: India defeats Great Britain 2-1 in their second round-robin match

In Men's Hockey, India defeated hosts Great Britain 2-1 in their second round-robin match of the Champions Trophy in London last night. Mandeep Singh and Harmanpreet Singh sounded the board for India, with Ashley Jackson pulling one back late for the local favourites.India now have 4 points from 2 games and are second in the 6-team points table. They had held Olympic Champions and holders Germany to a 3-3 draw in their opener. Australia also have 4 points, but they are at the top by virtue of a better goal difference.India will play its third game tomorrow against Belgium.Each team will play five round-robin matches and the top two sides at the end of the stage will meet in the Final. The Final will be played on Friday.
