Champions League :Sydney Sixers beat Mumbai Indians by 12 runs

Mumbai Indians' disastrous campaign in the Champions League Twenty-20 cricket tournament came to an end, as they lost to Sydney Sixers by 12 runs in their final Group-B match at Durban last night. Opting to bat first, Sydney posted 136 for 7 in the stipulated 20 overs. Steven Smith top scored with 41. In reply, Mumbai could make only 124 for 8 in 20 overs, thereby losing the match by 12 runs. Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Moises Henriques bagged 2 wickets each. Smith was adjudged man of the match. This was Mumbai's third defeat in 4 games.Earlier, in the other Group-B match, Chennai Super Kings beat Yorkshire by 4 wickets at the same venue.Our correspondent reports, both Mumbai and Chennai were already out of the semi-final race, as they had lost their initial matches in this tournament.In today's Group-A matches, Auckland Aces will clash with Perth Scorchers at 5 PM (IST), while Delhi Daredevils will take on Titans at 9 PM. Both matches will be played at Centurion.
