The Chairman of the Punjab State Commission for Scheduled Castes, Niranjan Singh has asked the State Police to reinvestigate all those cases related to high-handedness against schedules castes in which compromise has been engineered by the police to settle the matter. He said that, it should be clarified that the compromise has not been made under pressure. Speaking in Jalandhar at an open court to redress grievances related to members of scheduled caste communities, He instructed the officers to solve complaints related to SCs at the earliest and asked police station in-charges to incorporate provisions of SC/ST Act while registering complaints.
