Chief Executive officer of Prasar Bharti Broadcasting Corporation of India MR JAWAHAR SIRCAR has stressed the need for cooperation and convergence among various wings of AIR and Doordarshan for improving output and maximising impact of programmes in all categories.

Addressing zonal coordination meeting of North Zone one in Srinagar today he said that Doordarshan and Akashwani has tremendous reach and through covergence and exchange of best practices the corporation could improve the content and impact of programmes keeping in with its responsibilities as the public sector broad caster.

Assuring that steps are afoot to deal with problems of staff and other organisational impediments he exhorted the employees of corporation to adopt more dedication and discipline to achieve better results in tune with changing technology and requirements of audiance. Director General Doordarshan, Director Genral AIR DG News AIR and member personnel Prasar Bharti besides engering heads of both organisations also addressed the meeting.
