Congress says the entire spirit, direction and purpose of the GST Bill introduced by the UPA government is being lost because of what it called adhocism of the NDA government. <br/><br/>Speaking to media in New Delhi today, party spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said, Indian GST rate is now the highest in the entire world and one nation, one tax' has become one nation, seven taxes or more. <br/><br/>He, however, welcomed the interim relief to certain sections by the GST council, however said, even the enhancement of annual aggregate turnover for Composition Scheme from 75 lakh to one crore rupees is far from satisfactory to bring the requisite relief to small and medium businesses. <br/><br/>Mr. Surjewala said, the government has still not laid down any road map and given any indication of bringing Petro Products, Electricity and Real Estate within the ambit of GST.
