Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley assured that the Centre would very soon come out with a package to help Tamil Nadu affected by the cyclone Vardah.<br/> <br/>When the matter was taken up by various members in the Rajya Sabha during Zero Hour, he said he would discuss with officials concerned about the demand of Tamil Nadu for financial aid to take up rehabilitation measures and make an announcement. Mr Jaitley also pointed out the positioning of NDRF personnel and Army columns in advance for taking up rescue and relief works whenever needed.<br/> <br/>CPI member D Raja, Tiruchy Siva of the DMK, nominated member Subramanyam Swamy, P Chidambaram of the Congress and several members urged the Government to announce a package and send central team to the affected districts of Chennai, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Vellore, Dharmapuri and Tiruvannamalai to assess the damages.<br/>
