The Centre will set up a Nationwide Emergency Response System to provide emergency assistance to the women in distress. In case of any kind of emergency or in distress, the women can seek assistance on telephone number 112 .Home Minister Rajnath Singh informed this while chairing the meeting of Parliamentary Consultative Committee attached to his Ministry in New Delhi. <br/><br/>During the meeting, issues related to human trafficking and safety and security of women were discussed. Mr Singh said, trafficking of women and children for commercial sexual exploitation forced labour,adoption and begging is an organised crime which violates basic human rights. <br/><br/>During the meeting, the Parliamentarians also discussed the human trafficking issue in the border areas and stressed the need to rehabilitate the victims rescued during operations.
