Union Home minister Rajnath Singh has said, the Centre will put maximum efforts for the development of the North East. Speaking at an award function in Guwahati this evening, he said that constitutional, legislative and administrative measures will be pursued to implement clause 6 of the Assam Accord, which assures constitutional safeguard for people of Assam. He said that the cases of violence in Nort East have decreased.The Home Minister said that government is ready for talks with the militant groups but violence will not be tolerated.
