Centre will not enter into dialogue with splinter groups of NE militant

<br/>The Centre today made it clear that it will not enter into dialogue with any splinter groups or break away or new factions of the militant outfits in the North East. In a statement in New Delhi the government said that it has been observed that the renegade cadres of the outfits of the North East have not given up their arms and have not joined the ongoing peace process and some of these have formed splinter groups. <br/><br/>The statement said that the security forces will take concerted action against these groups. The government said that while it will not accept the laying down of arms in a public function of these groups, they can surrender in accordance with the surrender cum rehabilitation policy. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent says that following the government's offer to enter into dialogue with any outfit that abjures violence and whose demands are within the framework of the Constitution, several North eastern groups have come forward and laid down their arms.
