Union Minorities Welfare Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has said, when development agenda gets priority over political agenda, there would be no parallel for the Modi Government at the Centre. In his address at the review meeting of representatives of southern states minority welfare departments in Chennai, he said the central government views development of the oppressed sections as its duty, not as a mere political formality.

He informed that documents on the Wakf Board properties across the nation would be digitized and those under encroachment would be retrieved. They would be developed into educational institutions, hospitals, malls and marriage halls, and the revenue thus earned would be spent for educational and welfare measures for Muslim population, he said.
