Centre has urged the States for the full utilisation of the funds provided by the Tribal Ministry under the Special Area programmes. According to an official release, the Minister for Tribal Affairs Kishore Chandra Deo said this in a meeting with State Secretaries, Commissioners and administrators of different States and Union Territories in New Delhi today.

Mr. Deo reviewed the important schemes and programmes of his Ministry relating to tribal welfare. He said various income generation activities can be implemented for overall developments of the Scheduled Tribes under the Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub Plans.
