President Pranab Mukherjee today expressed hope that the Centre will successfully achieve its target of Housing for All till 2022. Addressing a function in Gwalior, he lauded the steps taken by Narendra Modi government in this direction. <br/><br/>He said that the housing is a serious problem in the country and it is not easy to solve it. He added that the government is committed to providing housing to all and it has begun its work with schemes like Sabke liye Awaas and Pradhanmantri Awaas Yojna. The President said that along with housing, clothing and food, education and health facilities are also necessary to empower poor people.<br/><br/> Addressing the function, Union Minster Narendra Singh Tomar said that the government will make available one crore houses for rural people till 2019. Madhya Pradesh Governor O P Kohli stressed the need to implement the schemes like "Sabke liye Awaas" with positive mentality. <br/><br/>The president handed over the keys of the newly built houses to the beneficiaries on this occasion. These houses have been built under Integrated Housing and Slum Development Programme and Sabke liye Awaas.
