Union Minister of State for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh on Saturday said that the Union Government would set up one incubation centre in Meghalaya.Speaking to media persons in Shillong on Saturday, the minister said that the proposed centre would provide skill training to youths of Meghalaya in different sectors such as fruit processing, handicraft and IT sector.The minister also said that around five thousand youths will be trained from the proposed incubation centre.On the Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), he said that the Union Government has targeted 1133 MPEGP projects to be implemented in Meghalaya out of which 185 has been sanctioned.He said 5111 projects have also been targeted in Assam even as he added that the Government has targeted 13337 projects under PMEGP in the entire North East.
