The Centre will set up two All India Institutes of Yoga and Naturopathy to impart education and training and promote research on Yoga. One Institute will be set up in Haryana while other will come up in Goa.Inaugurating an International Conference on Yoga for Diabetes in New Delhi, Minister for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik said, his Ministry has also set up a National Board for Promotion and development of Yoga and Naturopathy. Mr Naik said, Diabetes has become one of the biggest health hazards facing the world and recent research in the field of Yoga has shown that the disease can be managed well through a regular yoga regime combined with a healthy lifestyle. Mr Naik said, a Committee of Experts has also been set up for evolving a common protocol for prevention and management of Diabetes.<br/> <br/>Speaking on the occasion, Secretary AYUSH, Ajit Sharan said, two Central Research Institutes for Yoga are being set up in Haryana and Karnataka. Our correspondent reports that the three day conference will deliberate on the role of Yoga in the prevention and management of Diabetes and to draw a roadmap for the control of the disease through Yoga.
