The Central Government has started to send six more companies of Para military forces to strengthen the operation in the Maoist infested areas of West Bengal, and to boost the joint forces of the Center and the State. Taking to news persons at the State Secretariat, the Writer’s Building in Kolkata today, the West Bengal Home Secretary Mr. Ardhendu Sen said that the State Government has been requesting the Union Home Ministry to sent additional forces. The clearance for the deployment of to additional Para military forces was given by the Central Government today. The Home Secretary also said that recently a report about the Maoist activities in the state has been sent to the Central Government.
