Union Minister of State for Development of North-East Region(DoNER) Dr. Jitendra Singh has said, the Centre has already sanctioned an amount of Rs 8.5 crore from the National Disaster Response Fund for Manipur and an additional amount of Rs 8.5 crore will be sanctioned to help the flood affected people of the state. <br/><br/>He said that the Centre will look into giving more assistance for relief and rehabilitation when state government sends a detailed proposal for the same.<br/><br/>He was speaking to media persons this afternoon at Imphal Airport after taking stock of the flood situation in the state by aerial survey with Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju.
