Centre to recommend lift Prez rule in Jharkhand; Guv asks Soren to prove majority by Jan 8

The Governor of Jharkhand K.Shankarnaraynan has directed JMM Chief Shibu Soren to prove majority by 8th of January, 2010. Raj Bhawan sources said, the time of oath taking on Wednesday was also preponed to 10.30 in the morning.<br/>Shibu Soren, who is all set to become the next Chief Minister of Jharkhand, today said the new alliance comprising JMM, BJP and AJSU will provide a stable government in the mineral-rich state.<br/>Addressing a joint press conference with BJP president Nitin Gadkari in Mumbai, he said, Jharkhand needs a stable government at this crucial juncture. Mr Soren said, he is aware of the functioning of Gadkari and is confident that the alliance will work well.<br/>He said, while Jharkhand is a mineral-rich state, the people there are poor and only a stable government can help improve the situation.<br/>On his part, Gadkari said all the alliance partners will evolve a common programme for governance in Jharkhand. He said the Soren-led Government will take oath of office on Wednesday.
