The Centre has decided to raise a CRPF battalion consisting of scheduled tribe candidates from Bijapur, Dantewada, Narayanpur and Sukma districts in Chhattisgarh. <br/><br/>Altogether 744 personnel will be recruited. The rationale behind the decision is to give jobs to the tribal youth in keeping with their unique characteristics. Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju gave this information in the Rajya Sabha today.
