Centre to provide employment to youth near their villages: Birender Singh

Union Rural Development Minister Ch Birender Singh has said that central government is going to provide the facilities of development and employment to the youth near their villages.<br/><br/>Addressing a press conference at Chandigarh today Minister said that centre has launched Shayama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Mission for economic, social and infrastructural development of rural areas.<br/><br/>He said the 5,142 crore rupees would be spent on this plan formulated to provide facilities in the rural areas on the pattern of urban areas.<br/><br/>Giving details of the Mission , Union Minister said that under the scheme 300 clusters of villages will be formed throughout the country and three to fifteen villages will be included in each cluster.<br/><br/>He said that each cluster will have around 25 to 50 thousand population.<br/><br/>He said that 100 clusters will be set up in the current year and each state will have at least one cluster.<br/><br/>Ch Birender Singh said that to encourage the economic activities and to ensure fair price for local produce 50 crore rupees will be spent on each cluster.<br/><br/>Minister told that total 14 services like economic activities, food processing, agricultural service, storage ,digital literacy, cleanliness, solid and liquid waste management, tap water supply and skill development will be taken up in the clusters.<br/><br/>He said that the aim is to develop villages on the pattern of cities so that migration could be stopped.
