The Centre has decided partial withdrawal of central forces from the Darjeeling hill area of West Bengal. Union Home Ministry yesterday sent a notice to this effect to the state government saying that ten companies of central forces will be withdrawn from the hill areas from today. <br/><br/>Five companies of central forces will remain in the hills to maintain law and order helping state government administration. <br/><br/>West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed strong resentment over the central government's decision.
