Centre has decided to make available 300 metric tonne of onions in Delhi. Onions will be imported through State Trading Corporation, STC and will be sold from 7th of this month. According to Delhi Government, the onion will cost 33 rupees per kilogram while additional charges will be done for its transportation and handling through concerned agency like Mother Dairy, Kendriya Bhandar , NCCF and NAFED.It is expected that onion prices will come down in the city after delivery. Onion will be sold from 300 outlets of such agencies across the city.
