The government today said all efforts are being made to address the concern for climate change and to reduce the emissions from coal.<br/><br/>At a meeting with Ms Connie Hedegaard, European Union, Commissioner for Climate Action, Coal Minister Sri Prakash Jaiswal said the government is very much concerned about the environmental issues and coal mining is being modernised to minimise pollution.<br/><br/>Ms Hedegaard called on the Minister along with a delegation of European Union to brief about the initiatives being taken to check the climate degradation.<br/><br/>The Minister said in future all the power plants will have super critical technology to exploit maximum energy from the coal with better combustion.<br/>
