The Centre has undertaken a special project to connect all the border posts along the Sino-India frontier with roads.<br/><br/>This was stated by the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh while reviewing the operational preparedness of a forward Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Border Out Post Nelong in Uttarakhand today. <br/><br/>He said while a number of border posts had already been connected with roads, many more would be linked soon.<br/>' <br/>Singh ringed in the new year with the troops of the ITBP at the border post located at a height of 11,636 feet where the mercury ropped to minus 20 degrees Celsius.<br/><br/>This was the first time a home minister or a senior Union minister paid a visit to this border post.<br/>'<br/>The Home Minister also addressed a Sainik Sabha and lauded the ITBP personnel for their dedicated service in tough high altitude sub zero conditions. <br/><br/>Heaping praise on the jawans and officers of the force Rajnath Singh said any amount of facilities provided to them would be less, considering the challenging terrain and nature they had to deal with. <br/><br/>He said his ministry is aware of the services rendered by the ITBP personnel in difficult circumstances and trying to extend all possible support to them.
