Union Minister of State for Sports Vijay Goyal has said, Centre will launch a portal soon which will provide the platform to the emerging sports persons in the country. Participating in a closing ceremony of 'Jaipur Mahakhel Kabaddi' today, Mr Goyal said, the sports persons who are doing well in any sport activity will be able to upload their videos and bio data on the proposed portal where Sports Ministry will scrutinize and select them on the merit basis. He further added that a training will be provided to the selected sports persons under the Sports Authority of India and a scholarship of five lakh rupees per annum for 8 years will also be provided to them.
