The Centre will launch the second phase of Mission Indradhanush on Wednesday in 352 districts of the country. The objective of the Mission is to fully immunize those children who are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated against the seven disease. Briefing reporters, Additional Secretary in the Union Health Ministry C K Mishra said, in this phase around 40 lakh children will be administered vaccines.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that the mission had been launched in December last year with the aim of expanding immunization coverage to all children across India by year 2020. The Mission Indradhanush, depicting seven colours of the rainbow, targets to immunize all children against seven vaccine preventable diseases namely Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Childhood Tuberculosis, Polio, Hepatitis B and Measles.
