<span style="color: #222222;">Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari today said that five lakh crore rupees will be invested in the road infrastructure sector of Bihar in the next five years.<br />''<br />''Addressing a function in Munger in Bihar via video conference Mr. Gadkari said that his ministry will complete road projects worth 25,000 crore rupees during 2022-23.<br />''<br />''The union minister said 18 new bridges will be constructed with an expenditure of 27, 000 crore rupees, and 700 crore rupees has been earmarked for Road Over Bridges (ROBs) in the state.<br />''<br />''Earlier Mr. Gadkari and Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar dedicated the road deck of Munger Rail cum Road Bridge Srikrishna Setu on Ganga river its 14.5 Km long approach road.<br />''<br />''The railway portion of the 3.8 Km double-deck Srikrishna Setu was inaugurated in 2016 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi however the road section could not become functional in absence of an approach road. The Srikrishna Setu has been constructed with an expenditure of 2776 crore rupees.<br />''<br />''The approach road of the double-deck bridge has been completed with an expense of 696 crore rupees as a part of Nh-333B. The construction work of the bridge was started in 2002.<br />''<br />''The new bridge will also open new avenues providing direct connectivity with Munger, Khagaria, and Begusarai districts and also bridge the distance between Kosi and Mithila region with Munger.</span><br />
