Centre to help TN in tackling dengue outbreak

The Centre would provide all help to Tamil Nadu in tackling the outbreak of dengue fever which has claimed 29 lives in Tirunelveli district and neighbouring areas. Union Minister of State for Health S Gandhiselvan said that the Centre had deputed a six-member team of doctors from All-India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi to visit the affected areas. Talking to reporters in Namakkal last night, the minister said, this team would submit a report on the situation.The central team of doctors arrived in Tirunelvei yesterday as the state government intensified measures to control spread of dengue fever in the district.
