Sports Minister Ajay Maken on Tuesday said that the government has decided to frame a National Sports Development Legislation soon in the larger interest of Indian sports. Explaining the roadmap of comprehensive sports legislation in a Press conference in New Delhi, he said that the ministry will put on its website the draft Bill by 20th of this month and will invite suggestions from the stakeholders and public for one month before taking it forward. Mr Maken said that the proposed legislation would incorporate essences of basic universal principles of good governance, anti doping Laws and measures against sexual harassment, and age fraud detection.
