Centre to establish 10 startups in higher educational institutions to promote young entrepreneurs

Centre will establish 10 startups in higher educational institutions across the country to promote energy and zeal among young entrepreneurs. It will also support setting up of 35 new livelihood colleges in states to fructify the skill India programme.<br/><br/>This was announced by Human Resources Development Minister Smriti Irani while dedicating initiatives carried out in ten states through Video conferencing from New Delhi under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan. She said the government will also set up modern language labs in all states to promote different languages.<br/><br/>On the occasion, the Minister digitally launched New Model Degree Colleges in Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha among other initiatives.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan aims at strengthening infrastructure and ensuring quality education in states. It provides strategic funds for states besides giving impetus to governance, academic and administrative reforms. Under the scheme, 115 Universities and 1183 Colleges across the country are provided grants for enhancing infrastructure for the first time. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion of digital launch of Rashtriya Uchchatar Siksha Abhiyan (RUSA) for Government Degree College in Atmakur of Kurnool District today, Union Minister for Human Resources Development Ms. Smriti Irani said this will transform education in educationally backward district of Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh through the Model Degree College.<br/><br/>The Government Degree College at Atmakur is coming up at a cost of 12 crore rupees funding under RUSA. Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM K.E. Krishna Murthy, Chairman AP Legislative Council A. Chakrapani Yadav and district officials participated in the programme.
