The Centre would give emphasize to build an atmosphere to promote sports as a career. Talking to AIR Guwahati Correspondent today, Sports and Youth Welfare minister (Independent) Sarbanand Sonowal said that steps will be taken to spot sportspersons in rural areas and tap their potential so that they can excel in international arena.On the issue of Indo- Pak cricket series, Mr. Sonowal said that the matter will be discussed in details before taking any decisions. The minister also stressed that all sports bodies of the country including BCCI, should work as a team with the Sports Ministry. He said the ministry will take extra care to make sports free from corruption.
