The Centre has decided to deal decisively and resolutely with Naxalites after they spurned the talks' offer. Briefing reporters after State Chief Ministers meeting in New Delhi last evening, Home Minister P Chidambaram said if that means some kind of battle on the ground be it so.<br/><br/>The Home Minister, however, said that at present there is no proposal to deploy Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, UAVs.<br/><br/>Mr. Chidambram asserted that the Dark Forces of Terrorism, who want forcible annexation of Kashmir will not be allowed to succeed in their designs and they will be defeated decisively. <br/><br/>The Home Minister, expressed concern that the progress on the front has been tardy. He asked the State Governments to allocate enough budget for recruitment and training of police forces with a focus on specialized branches.<br/><br/>Setting the tone for the discussions in the day long conference, Prime Minister urged the States to work in tandem with the Centre to fight the security threats. <br/><br/>Addressing the conference, Dr. Manmohan Singh expressed concern over growing infiltration attempts from across the border since early this year.
