Centre will constitute a task force to give suggestions for the use of biodegradable plastic in packaging. The task force will also give suggestions on how to bring down the cost of biodegradable material in plastics. Chemical and Fertilizers Minister Ananth Kumar said this during the presentation of awards for technology innovation in petrochemicals and downstream plastic processing industries in New Delhi today. <br/><br/>He said, the task force will be headed by chemicals and petrochemicals, secretary Anuj Kumar Bishnoi. The Minister urged the awardees to come out with innovations for cost cutting in biodegradable plastic industry. Biodegradable plastics get decomposed by the action of living organisms bacteria.
