Centre has decided to constitute an expert committee to suggest measures to strengthen safety and security of Railway tracks and property. It comes in the backdrop of recent rail accidents due to alleged sabotage of rail tracks.<br/><br/>Home Minister Rajnath Singh today had a meeting with Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu in New Delhi over the issue. During the meeting, they discussed recent railway accidents including suspected criminal interference and sabotage. Recent accidents in Kanpur in UP, Kuneru in Andhra Pradesh and other places raised questions on the security of tracks.
