The Centre will come up with a roadmap for implementation of key provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley told this to reporters in New Delhi after a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He said,NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Arvind Panagariya has been asked to discuss with the state implementation of some sections of the Act related to Polavaram Irrigation Project, Finance Commission's award and fiscal measures. <br/><br/>When asked about the demand for Special Category status for Andhra Pradesh, the Finance Minister said that all those options have been discussed and a final view on it will be taken reconciling with Finance Commission's recommendations. He also said, the Prime Minister is of the view that the level of assistance assured in the Act should be given to the state government.
