Government will bring a new mining bill in upcoming Budget session of the Parliament. The new bill will make it mandatory for mining companies to give more than a quarter of their profit to the people living near the mines. Minister of state for Mines Dinsha Patel on Thursday said in New Delhi that the government is committed to reduce illegal mining in the country. He, however, added that state governments play the major role in curbing illegal mining. Mr Patel clarified that centre will provide every possible help required to the governments to stop illegal mining.
