In yet another effort to give boost to adventure tourism in Kashmir valley, the Union Tourism Ministry has reopened the prestigious Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering at Gulmarg after 20-years when it was closed down in 1990 due to eruption of militancy in the valley. AIR Baramula correspondent reports that the institute is planning to organise a 10-day training programme in water skiing and para-sailing from mid-May besides introducing short-term courses for para-gliding and other adventure sports.
