The CPI(M) has demanded that the government should not proceed any further on the India European Free Trade Agreement negotiations. In a statement, party politbureau today said unless current proposals negotiating drafts are debated and discussed in Parliament and with state governments, the negotiations should not proceed. The party has said India EU FTA which proposes massive cuts in import duties on industrial goods will greatly impact country's manufacturing sector which is already facing job losses.
