Government has urged all States to work together in a time bound manner to achieve the goal of 24×7 Power for All. Addressing a Conference of State Ministers of Power and Mines in New Delhi today, Power Minister Piyush Goyal said that a mission mode approach in a fast track manner, needs to be adopted for solving problems in the energy sector.The agenda of the meeting included 24 x7 power for all, Checking on illegal mining, speeding up environmental clearances, strengthening of transmission network, developing hydro power and promoting renewable energy sources. Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Bihar, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, besides others have participated in the event.
