Centre has sought a report from the Karnataka government over the incident of alleged assault and stripping of a Tanzanian woman in Bengaluru. Sources said the Home Ministry asked the state government to give a detailed report about the circumstances leading to the assault and action taken against those involved in it. <br/><br/> It has also sought details of steps taken for the protection of the victim. Meanwhile, Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju has termed the alleged assault of a Tanzanian woman as a matter of shame saying the country will not tolerate any racial discrimination. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters in New Delhi today, Mr. Rijiju said for 200 years, India was enslaved by foreigners and it has been fighting racial discrimination. He said if there is any such discrimination, the government will take it very seriously. <br/><br/>The 21-year-old Tanzanian woman student was allegedly beaten up and stripped by a mob as a case of mistaken identity after a woman was mowed down by a car in Bengaluru on Sunday night.
