Centre seeks report from AP Chief Minister on situation in Coastal & Rayalseema regions

Centre has sought a report from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister on the situation in coastal and Rayalaseema regions after 130 MLAs tendered resignation against the proposed move to carve out a Telangana state from Andhra Pradesh. The core committee of Congress in New Delhi is meeting tomorrow to take stock of the situation following bandhs and resignations from the legislators and members of parliament over the issue. Tension prevails in coastal and Rayalaseema regions on the third day of the day as protest demonstrations are continuing. Telangana Rashtriya Samiti president Chandrasekhar Rao has said that the responsibility of formation of the proposed state rests with the central government and his party is ready prepared to wait some time. The MLAs and MPs belonging to Telangana regions are meeting in Hyderabad today to chalk out the future course of action. Our Hyderabad correspondent reports all most all the political parties are divided on the issue of creating a separate Telangana state.<br/><br/>The Finance Minister and senior Congress leader Mr. Pranab Mukherjee has asserted that the demand for Telangana does not mean that new states will be created everywhere in the country.<br/><br/>
