Centre has sanctioned an amount of nearly 70 crore rupees for constructions of roads in Arunachal Pradesh. The amount has been sanctioned by The Minister of Development of North Eastern Region B.K Handique (DONER) from the Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources. In a statement issued in New Delhi, Mr Handique said that the government is committed towards improving roads and communications in the entire Northeast region. In the current financial year, over 492 crore rupees have been sanctioned for development of road in the north eastern states including Assam, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.
