In Assam, Centre has sanctioned 108 crore 25 lakh rupees to the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) for implementation of around eleven development projects during the current financial year. The amount has been sanctioned on the recommendation of the Development of the North East Region (DoNER) Ministry from the 250 crore rupees additional package announced by the Prime Minister last year.<br/><br/>Expressing happiness over the Centre’s initiative, the Chief Executive Member of BTC Hagrama Mohilary said the highest 25.94 crore rupees has been earmarked for an Information Technology park at Kokrajhar. Funds are provided for setting up of a composite model dairy, fishery and poultry farm and training centre at Kokilabari in the interior Baksa district. The Centre has also sanctioned 34.78 crore rupees for construction of a tourist resort-cum-amusement park at the Manas National Park.<br/>
