Government has revised and restructured the establishment of Food Park Scheme. This will pave the way for establishing Mega Food Parks. This is a demand driven scheme which has been formulated after taking into account the drawbacks in the old scheme which did not yield the desired results. According to an official press release, the progress of these parks is periodically reviewed and periodical physical inspection of these food parks is carried out from time to time. State Governments have been also requested to coordinate and cooperate with implementing agencies so as to overcome the constraints being faced by food parks.
