Centre today released first instalment of special assistance of 1,093 crore rupees for repair and permanent restoration of damaged public buildings including schools, colleges,hospitals and other critical public infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir. <br/><br/> The fund has been issued as part Prime Minister Reconstruction Plan for the state. <br/><br/>Last week, 500 crore rupees were provided for restoration of damaged horticulture areas and development of horticulture.<br/><br/> Last fiscal, a special assistance of 1,195 crore rupees was released towards assistance for completely or partially damaged houses and 800 crore rupees in April this year for interest subvention for restoration of livelihood for traders and business establishment. <br/><br/> Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced in November last year , a special package of over 80 thousand and crore rupees for post flood relief and restoration and long-term development of the state under the reconstruction plan.
