Centre releases Rs 604 cr to J&K to expedite implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission

<span style="color: #222222;">Centre has released 604 crore rupees to Jammu and Kashmir to expedite the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission. Jal Shakti Ministry said, Jammu and Kashmir has planned to became Har Ghar Jal by August next year. Out of 18 lakh 35 thousand rural households in the Union Territory, more than 57 percent households have tap water connections.<br />'' <br />'' The Ministry said, Central fund of two thousand 747 crore rupees has been allocated to Jammu and Kashmir in the current financial year for the implementation of the mission, which is nearly four times the allocation made during last financial year.<br />''<br />''Jal Jeevan Mission was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 15th August, 2019, with the aim to provide assured tap water supply to every rural home by 2024.</span>
