Centre has released more than 24 crore rupees to states and union territories in Ujjawala Scheme during the current year till date. <br/><br/>In a written reply in Lok Sabha today Minister of State for Women and Child Development Dr Virendra Kumar said, the Ujjawala scheme has specific components for prevention of trafficking and for rescue, rehabilitation and repatriation of victims of trafficking for commercial sexual exploitation. He said, the scheme is being implemented in the country including North Eastern States.
