The Centre has released grant in aid of .20 crores rupees to 12 eligible districts of Madhya Pradesh under the Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) during the current financial year. <br/><br/>According to the Rural Development Ministry, the grant in aid has been released to State Water and Sanitation Mission. <br/><br/>Total Sanitation Campaign is a comprehensive programme to ensure sanitation facilities in rural areas with broader goal to eradicate the practice of open defecation. TSC gives emphasis on Information, Education and Communication (IEC), Capacity Building and Hygiene Education.
