Government on Thursday reiterated that the Land Acquisition Bill will be tabled in the coming Monsoon Session of Parliament after reaching a consensus with all the stake-holders on the issue. Briefing the media in New Delhi, Union HRD Minister Kapil Sibal said, that all political parties including UPA allies will be taken on board before finalisation of the bill. In reply to a question, he said, the recommendations of the National Advisory Council and the GoM on the issue, as well as views of Trinamool Chief Mamta Banerji will also be suitably accommodated.Mr. Sibal said, Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence Bill, 2011 will also come up in the coming session. Responding to a query, the Minister clarified that before introducing the bill, it will be presented to the parliamentary committee which will also add its suggestions to it. Dealing with a number of questions relating to IITs and IIMs, Mr Sibal said that in the changing scenario more emphasis is being put on making these institutions research oriented. Mr. Sibal said IITs and IIMs will soon reach critical mass and will provide global solutions to various issues.
