The Government has reconstituted the Executive and General Council of National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) Hyderabad with immediate effect for a period of three years. A Notification to this effect has been issued by the Ministry of Rural Development. NIRD is an autonomous organization and through its training and research activities, NIRD endeavours to upgrade the knowledge skills about rural development. NIRD also sensitizes the elected representatives and rural development functionaries about the impact of various Rural Development initiatives of the Centre and the State Governments and also about the emerging challenges in the field of Rural Development.
